The hills

"How much more, dadda?" I asked my dad, when I went trekking for the first time. "Just a little more, trust me, it will be worth it", my dad replied. The narrow mud roads, the huge trees looking down at us, the sun shining above our heads, the little and cute tea stalls, and of course the hot Maggie we gulped down, trekking literally is a task till you reach the destination. And, I should say, my dad did not lie about all the sedulous, it was all productive and deserving. When I reached up there, it was the beautiful waterfall, water glimmering like crystal with the sun light falling on it, so clear that you could see the water bed, so cool, so comforting that I could sit keeping my bare feet in it for hours straight. We filled our bottles from the waterfall, the water striking against the stones made it sprinkle here and there. It was beautiful and calming indeed.

Hills are spectacular, you just need the right vision for it. In the morning there is this breath taking sunrise, making everything look like it is made of gold. It the noon, there is this accurate whether, warm and cold, soothing, is the right word for it. In the evening, the sun set painting the entire sky in the shades of orange and red. At night, the stars twinkling and the moon reflecting it's dim light on the river of the waterfall, making it glisten.

Imagine this, you are in the balcony. It is almost evening, the dim sun light is lighting on your face, the cool and soothing breeze, making your hair fall on your face, a cup of coffee on your little table, with your favorite book on the side, the sun setting between the pinnacle, telling you endings too can be beautiful, the hills covered in the light blanket of fog,  your dog laying down on the side of the table, the blurry view of mountains, the trees and little yet elegant homes around you. Pleasant, isn't it? Well, that's the striking beauty of hills.
